IRaTCA (International Railway Training Center for UIC Asia)

IRaTCA is an internationally recognised railway training center with the approval of UIC Asian regional Assembly for the development of Asian railways.

History

Oct.2006 : The 1st Asian Railway Summit, Seoul, Korea
- Establishment of training center for Asia in Korea was proposed by the high level participants of Asian railways.
Mar.2007 : The 1st Asian Regional Assembly, New Dehli, India
- The resolution for the establishment of center was adopted
Dec.2007 : UIC Asian Region Assembly, Paris, France
- UIC approved the establishment
May.2008 : Seoul, Korea
-IRaTCA hosted its opening ceremony and activated its training programs

Main performance

IRaTCA has provided 47 professional training courses for 590 trainees participated from 43 countries of Africa, Asia, Europe and South America since its establishment in 2008.
The courses are carefully designed to meet the needs of trainees, and basically the training expenses are funded through the patronage of Korean government(ODA) and international organizations like UIC, or individual requests* from partners.
