- Maintenance includes all ordinary, preventive, predictive, scheduled, and nonscheduled measures taken to enhance the reliability and safety of an equipment by preventing damages and performance degradation.
- Maintenance can be divided into two categories: “Post-maintenance” is taken place after a damage is occurred, while “preventive maintenance” is performed prior to damage. Preventive maintenance can again be divided into daily maintenance, conditional maintenance, and predictive maintenance
