Rolling Stock

Overview

  • Maintenance includes all ordinary, preventive, predictive, scheduled, and nonscheduled measures taken to enhance the reliability and safety of an equipment by preventing damages and performance degradation.
  • Maintenance can be divided into two categories: “Post-maintenance” is taken place after a damage is occurred, while “preventive maintenance” is performed prior to damage. Preventive maintenance can again be divided into daily maintenance, conditional maintenance, and predictive maintenance

Objective

A complete maintenance activity to maintain the optimized performance of a rolling stock
