Regulations
The logo, as a symbol representing KORAIL, is a basic element of the CI system and an essential basic element in expressing the image of KORAIL. Therefore, it must be used strictly in accordance with the regulations. In principle, the logo must be used digitally as computer data, not manually.
Symbol Mark
The image of new railway service was expressed to convey the vision of KORAIL, which will lead the rail renaissance of the 21st century through high-speed railway operation and completion of the TKR project. The blue sphere symbolises the earth and the sharp line across the sphere symbolises the speed and advanced technological power of KORAIL's high-speed railway service. Overall, the symbol represents the image of KORAIL in the 21st century that is advancing powerfully into the future.



Word Type
Together with the logo, word type is an essential basic element in expressing the image of KORAIL. It must be designed to achieve harmony with the image expressed by the logo. Word type is adjusted proportionately according to the shape of each font. No arbitrary modifications in the font, thickness, and proportions are allowed. Recognizing its importance in expressing the image of KORAIL, word type must be used strictly in accordance with the regulations specified in this guide.

Names of HQs and Subsidiaries
The logo for HQs and subsidiaries comprises of the basic KORAIL logo, “KOREA RAILROAD” (word type), and the name of the respective HQ or subsidiary. These elements must be combined organically and effectively so as to ensure uniformity of the image. The logo can be used appropriately for each situation; however, strict compliance with the regulations specified in this guide is required. (The font must be fixed as “KORAIL 2007” and the letter spacing and word spacing must not be changed.)
